Pet travel to the EU changed on 1st January 2021 and EU Pet Passports are no longer valid for entry to the EU. An Animal Health Certificate (AHC) will now have to be issued by your vet. We can provide this service at Barnhouse. Please see our ‘Advice & FAQ’s’ section for more information.

Dental disease is one of the most frequent ailments seen by Veterinary Surgeons. Tartar and bacteria on the teeth will at some stage lead to infection and gingivitis if left untreated. If you are concerned about your pet's oral health, we can perform an oral assessment at the Surgery. We may suggest a scale and polish to help keep things at bay, sometimes further treatment such as extractions are necessary.
